Cynthia "Cindy" Gail Mason

Cynthia “Cindy” Gail Mason, age 77, of Waynesburg, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in the Washington Hospital.

Born October 10, 1947, in Oil City, daughter of the late William H. and Ruth P. (Crone) Pizor.

Cindy had been a Greene County resident most of her life. She was a former member of the Presbyterian Church in Wind Ridge. Cindy married Charles Mason on August 21, 1975, and they were happily married for 49 years. She dedicated 30 years of her life to Golden Living taking care of others as a CNA until she retired at the age of 72 in 2020. Some of her favorite past times were camping, playing bingo, reading, and spending time at family gatherings.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children, Sandy Hixenbaugh, of Moundsville, WV., Tammy (Mark) Wise, of Fairmont, WV., Connie (Tim) Gorby, of Waynesburg, Gail (Andy) Scott, of Graysville, Carol (Melvin) Jackson, of Rices Landing, Amy (Jeff) Isiminger, of Holbrook, and James (Becky) Mason, of Wind Ridge; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Carter Trowbridge and Spencer Timmons.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 3-7 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181, where a funeral service will be held directly after with Mark Wise, officiating.
