Curtis L. DeMurry

Curtis L. DeMurry, age 72, of Stevensville, MD., (formerly of Waynesburg) passed away, Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville, MD.

Born August 26, 1950, in Waynesburg, the son of the late James J. DeMurry and Betty Jean (West) Inghram, of Waynesburg.

Curtis graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1970. He moved from Waynesburg in 1992 to Stevensville, MD. Curtis owned his own furniture moving company for many years. He loved to fish, one of the many reasons he moved to Stevensville. He would go to the pier almost every other day just to sit by the water. He was a very generous person and loved to donate to people in need and any organization.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Terrace G. DeMurry, of Hyattsville, MD, his very close friend Loretta Morris, of Stevensville, MD and his cousins, Jon E. Montgomery, of Dunlap, TN and his twin brother, Jane E. Montgomery, of Radcliff, KY.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy DeMurry.
