Biography Connie Lou Miller Widdup, 64, of Abingdon, Va., and formerly of Holbrook (Nettle Hill), Pa. died Saturday, October 18, 2014 in the Johnston Memorial Hospital, in Abingdon in the loving arms of her husband, sister and brother, after being seriously ill since April. She was born August 15, 1950 in New Freeport, Pa. a daughter of the late Forrest Worth and Rosedale Gorby Miller and had resided in the New Freeport and Nettle Hill areas all her life prior to moving to Va. in 2009. Mrs. Widdup was a member of the New Freeport Church of Christ. She was also a member of the New Freeport V.F.D. Ladies Auxiliary and the B.E.C.O.N.F. and was a 1968 graduate of West Greene High School. Mrs. Widdup enjoyed traveling and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She was a former auditor for Jackson Twp., formerly served on the Jackson Twp. Board of Elections, and was last employed in the cash office of the Washington (Pa.) Walmart for ten years prior to retiring. On May 25, 1969 she married Richard L. Widdup who survives. Also surviving are a son, Michael S., husband of Donna Widdup of New Freeport; two grandchildren, Autumn Taylar and Cole Dawson Widdup; her pride and joy, pet dog "Panda Lynn"; a brother, Dennis (Pepper), husband of Vickie Miller of Waynesburg; a sister, Cindy, wife of Steve Varner of Littleton, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Ruth Miller Debolt of Deep Valley; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Deceased in addition to her parents is a brother, Danny K. Miller who died in 2010. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 with Evangelist W. Terry Varner officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Jackson Twp. .
