Claire E. Quinn, 75, of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of New Martinsville, W.Va. died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the home of her daughter Kathleen Cumberledge in Waynesburg after being in failing health for the past three years and seriously ill since April 14.She was born March 19, 1937 in Imperial, Pa. a daughter of the late William and Mary Katherine Buechler.Mrs. Quinn had been a resident of the New Martinsville area for several years prior to moving to Waynesburg in 2007.She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, farming, all animals and raising flowers as long as her health permitted.On May 14, 1976 she married Kenneth William Quinn who died July 10, 1983.Surviving are four daughters, Helena, wife of Tom McLaughlin of New Martinsville, Lorraine, wife of Gary Longwell of Hundred, W.Va., Laureen (Pug), wife of Gary Smith of Sistersville, W.Va. and Kathleen Cumberledge of Waynesburg, with whom she has made her home since 2007.; four sons, Kenneth, husband of Pam Garren of Franklin, Pa., George, husband of Mary Quinn of West Waynesburg, Michael, husband of Susie Quinn of New Martinsville and Robert Quinn of St. Mary's, W.Va.; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is a daughter, Corina Quinn who died at birth; two brothers, Joseph and William Buechler.She was the last of her immediate family.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home.
