Charles William Williams

Charles William Williams, age 88, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 13, 1936, in Fairmont, WV., son of the late Charles F. and Mary (Phillips) Williams.

Charles had been a Greene County resident most of his life. He graduated from Trinity High School in 1954. Charles married Carolyn Clutter on June 25, 1963, and they were happily married for 61 years. He was employed with the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 25 years until he retired in 2007. Charles served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle, and traveling to Florida for the winter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Charles A. (Vicki Stitchick) Williams, of Rogersville and Chris A. (Shari) Williams, of Waynesburg; two grandchildren, Chadd A. (Krista) Williams, of Mechanicsburg and Autumn (Kevin Paugh) Williams, of Mt. Morris; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half siblings, James Mason and Helen Morgan.

Friends and family will be received on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 11-1 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181, where a funeral service will be held directly after with Pastor Gary Crawford, officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery.
