Bonnie M. (Orndoff) Parson, age 84, of Graysville, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at Ridgecrest at Cranberry Woods in Cranberry Township.
Born January 7, 1942, in Center Township, daughter of the late Reed and Marjorie (Huskey) Orndoff.
Bonnie had been a resident of Greene County all of her life. She graduated from West Greene High School in 1960. Bonnie was a member of Waynesburg First Assembly Church. She had been a former member of the Cornerstone Covenant Church. Bonnie married James E. Parson on November 1, 1968, and they were happily married for 57 years until his passing on December 22, 2025. She enjoyed being a homemaker, baking, crocheting, gardening, and cross stitching. Bonnie loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Brenda Parson for the love and care she provided for Bonnie during her stay at the Evergreen in Waynesburg.
She is survived by five children, Mark (Janice) Grimes, of Jefferson, Kathy (Steve) Cummings, of Charlotte, NC, Lisa (Scott) Johanson, of Cranberry Twp., Stacy (Joe) Yeckel, of DeLand, FL, and Matthew (Teresa) Parson, of Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren, Katie Wood, Mark Grimes, Jr., Michael Grimes, Danielle Cummings, Chris Cummings, Erika Johanson, Alissa Johanson, Andrew Yeckel, and Joanna Parson; three great grandchildren; and a brother, William (Cathie) Orndoff, of Waynesburg.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4-8 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Waynesburg First Assembly Church, 4131Roy E. Furman Hwy Waynesburg, PA 15370 with Pastor Rick Wiater, officiating. Burial will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery, Richhill Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alzheimer's Association or Bridges Hospice at 4130 Monroeville Blvd. Monroeville, PA 15146.
