Betty Ann Shaw

Betty Ann Shaw, age 85, formerly of East Finley Twp. (Enon), PA, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Presbyterian SeniorCare Southmont, Washington, PA, following a lingering illness.

Born December 22, 1932 in Garrett County MD, the daughter of the late Carl Martin and Stella Olive (Hardesty) Kitzmiller.

Betty graduated from Southern High School and she was a member of Enon Baptist Church.

She married Ralph Edward Shaw on December 22, 1956, the couple spent 61 years together. Betty lived in New Jersey for approximately 20 years, then in 1976 returned to East Finley Twp. to the Shaw family farm.

She is survived by, her nephew and longtime caregiver, Rick (Sheila) Shaw, of West Alexander, PA; two additional nephews, Jeff (Jen) Shaw, of Hamilton, NJ, David (Cindy) Kitzmiller, of Orville, OH; three nieces, Julene (Dominick) Bottera, of Hamilton, NJ, Stephanie Shaw, of NC, and Stacy Shaw, of Washington, PA; several great nieces and nephews; one sister, Pam Kitzmiller, of Wooster, OH.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edward Shaw, who passed away June 16, 2017; one brother, Robert Kitzmiller and one nephew, Phillip Kitzmiller.

Friends will be received on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: (724) 499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Thomas, officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery, Richhill Twp., PA.
