Bessie Louise Tedrow

Bessie Louise Tedrow, age 88, of Waynesburg, PA., passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 18, 2018, in her home, with her granddaughter and caregiver, Donna and great- grandson, Damian Davis at her side.

Born September 30, 1929 in Center Twp. PA., she is the daughter of the late Harrison and Mildred (Cross) Tedrow, Sr.

Bessie was a resident of Greene County all her life. She was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church where she was the Sunday School Secretary and the former Sunday School Teacher for 40 years. Bessie was employed most of her life in the Oak Forest area as long as her health permitted until 1960. She enjoyed crafting plastic canvas, crocheting, doing puzzles, gardening and was an avid reader of the bible. Bessie dedicated her life to God and her family.

Bessie is survived by a son, Kenneth (Joann) Tedrow, Sr., of IN.; four grandchildren, Donna Crawford Eddy, of Waynesburg, PA., Sandra Crawford, of Marianna, PA., Kenneth Tedrow, Jr., of Greene County, PA. and John Tedrow, of NC; 13 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Basinger, of Ruff Creek, PA.; one brother, Harrison Tedrow, Jr., of Bluff, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Crawford, who passed away on May 21, 2018; one sister, Marjorie Reagan; one brother, Charles Tedrow.

Friends will be received on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Scott A. Blair, III., officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Jackson Twp., PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Willow Grove Baptist Church, 756 Hargus Creek Rd., Waynesburg, PA .15370.
