Arleigh Willy, Sr.

Arleigh Willy, Sr., age 88, of Jackson Twp., PA, passed away at home on Wednesday, April, 26, 2017 after a lengthy illness.

He was born on February 26, 1929 in Wetzel County, West Virginia.

Arleigh was a dedicated family man and hard worker. He enjoyed his animals and loved farming.

Surviving are 5 children, Arlene (Fred) Thomas, of Jackson Twp.,PA, Emma Rutan, of Waynesburg, PA, Debbie Durbin, of Waynesburg, PA, Brenda Ankrom, of Sycamore, PA, and Raleigh “Babe” Willy, Jr., of New Freeport, PA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Martha Lou Willy;
his son, James Robert Willy; grandchildren, Becki Willy, Jason Rutan, Nicholas Durbin, Freddy and Timmy Thomas; one great-granddaughter; great-great-grandson, Levi Farrar; one sister; three brothers, Bob Anderson, Arthur Stout and James Burns; son-in-law, Tim Ankrom.

Friends will be received Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA, 15359. (724) 499-5181 A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. William Parker, officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Bethany Cemetery.
