Yvonne Gibbons, 63, of South Fayette Twp., Pa. died at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in the St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon, Pa.She was known to family and friends as Pickles, Pic, and Pickies.Yvonne was born on August 11, 1949 in Fairmont, WV, the daughter of the late Patrick and Helen Davis Gibbons. After the death of her mother when she was nine, she was raised by her grandmother Minnie Marvel Davis in Farmington, WV. She is survived by an aunt; Carrie Brilla of Burton, Oh and several cousins. Her family grew after moving to Pennsylvania in 1975. She shared her life with Elaine Householder and was loved by Robert (Pa-Pa) and Helen Householder (Ma-Ma) as a daughter. She was also loved by Robert L. Householder, Joyce and Greg Helphenstine and Dennis and Debe Householder as a sister. She was a favorite aunt of Robbie, Heather, John, Becky, Cassie, Tammy and Kyle.Yvonne Graduated from Farmington High School in 1968, from Fairmont College in 1973, and also attended graduate school at West Virginia University.She became a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church, Farmington, WV, as a child and was currently attending Crossroads United Methodist Church of Oakdale, Pa and the Fairview United Methodist Church, Graysville, Pa. Yvonne's career was in the financial field, first employed by JC Penny Credit Department for 19 years, followed by GE. She then worked in the home loan services of National City, Merrill Lynch and finished her career as an assistant vice president for Bank of America.Pic's interest included WWII era history, college football, the Steelers and golf. She had two loves, traveling the rocky shores of Maine, the coast of Oregon and the beaches of the Outer Banks. Her other love was spending time with people, especially her friends of four decades, Jean, Judith Ann, Kathie, Pat, and Marlene and the host of friends she attracted like a magnet that grew with each meeting of someone new over the years.In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
