Wilma Scott

Wilma G. Scott, 88, formerly of West Finley, R.D.#2 (East Finley Twp.) Pa. died at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2004 in the Washington County Health Center, Washington, Pa. after being in failing health for the past 8 years.She was born May 23, 1916 in Scenery Hill, Pa. a daughter of Harvey Ephram and Flora Margaret Salisbury McClellan.Mrs. Scott was a member of the Enon Baptist Church where she was honored as a lifetime deaconess and was a former trustee and served on various committees and offices and was an active participant in the remodeling of the church.She enjoyed quilting, cooking and baking as long as her health permitted.Mrs. Scott was a former housekeeper for Judge Thomas Terputac, Dr. Donald Wilson, S.A. and Elliott Myers.On September 21, 1935 she married Winson Enlow Scott who died December 9, 1993.Surviving are a daughter, Helen Dittman of Boonsboro, MD; 2 sons, Duane Scott of Hickory, Pa. and Roger L. Scott of West Finley R.D.#2, Pa.; one sister, Ruth Lough of Portersville, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Kevin, Bryan and Eric Scott, Sharon Merckle, Mark and Matthew Dittman, Rebecca Corderman and Jody Thomas; nine great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; three step great great grandchildren.Deceased are a brother, Clayton McClellan; four sisters, Edna Fox, Mae Coen, Bernice Davis and Mildred Ritchie and two sisters in infancy.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Washington County Health Center, 36 Old Hickory Ridge Rd., Washington, Pa. 15301
