Wilda Jean Dorsey, 85, of East Finley Twp., Washington Co., Pa. died unexpectedly at 6:50 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 in her home.She was born October 14, 1926 in East Finley Twp. (Pleasant Grove), Washington Co. Pa. a daughter of the late John Lee and Alma Clarissa Plants Elliott and had resided in the East Finley Twp. area all her life.Mrs. Dorsey was a member of the Fairmount United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for several years, was also a member of the United Methodist Women, Ladies Aide, the choir, and had served as the Bible school and Youth Fellowship director.She was an avid quilter and enjoyed the time with her family and grandchildren.Mrs. Dorsey was a graduate of the former Claysville High School.On July 15, 1947 she married Harold Leo Dorsey who died January 26, 2005.Surviving are three daughters, Alma (Sis) Johnson of Amity, Eleanor, wife of Frank Miller and Kathy, wife of Lloyd Brownlee both of Claysville; three sons, Kenneth, husband of Connie Reis Dorsey, Larry, husband of Dolores Crow Dorsey and Donald, husband of Wendy Sloane Dorsey all of Claysville; a brother, Walter L. Elliott of Canton, Ohio; 17 grandchildren, Brian, husband of Dawn Miller, Chad, husband of Carla Miller, Mark, husband of Sherri Miller, Jody, husband of Heather Johnson, Toby Johnson and Bill, husband of Michelle Johnson, Shannon, wife of Rich Maxwell, Carrie, wife of Norm Arthur, Carl, husband of Tammy Dorsey, Jared, husband of Ashleigh Dorsey, Kevin, husband of Savannah Dorsey, Christina, wife of Brent Grice, Tera, wife of Sam Wash, Tonnie, wife of Ross Webb, Denise, wife of Louie Blum and David, husband of Ashley Brownlee; 23 great grandchildren, Preston, Emily, Chase, Cole, Caroline and Nora Miller, Blake, Parker, Travis, Brandon and Thomas Johnson, Shania, Tyler and Trevor Maxwell, Cassidy and Norm Arthur, Andreas, Callie and Alexis Dorsey, Micah, Hailey, Abby and Harper Webb; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a twin brother, William Kenneth Elliott, who died at birth and a sister, Emma U. Elliott Ward.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
