Wesley (Junior) Amos, 75, of Graysville, Pa. R.D.#1 died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003 in his home after being in failing health for the past several years.Mr. Amos was born August 17, 1927 in Wheeling, W.Va. a son of George Wesley (Pete) and Jessie Wilma Toland Amos.He had been a resident of the Nebo Ridge area prior to moving to Graysville area (Richhill Township) in 1981.Mr. Amos was a member of Enon Baptist Church.He was a 1944 graduate of Richhill Township High School.Mr. Amos was formerly employed in pipeline construction, a former Carnation milk truck driver and a laborer for the Char-Mar Farms. He was last employed as an equipment operator for Penn D.O.T. for over 18 years prior to retiring in August 1989.He was a member of the West Greene Senior Citizens, the Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461 and the A.F.S.C.M.E. Chapter 13 and Harvey's Grange 1444.Mr. Amos enjoyed hunting as long as his health permitted.On January 1, 1957 he married Claudia Rozella Minton Amos who survives.Also surviving are five sons, Robert Wesley Amos of Milton, New Hampshire, Ronald Allen Amos of Wind Ridge, Randy Lee and Gary Dean Amos both of Graysville and Edward Jay Amos at home; three daughters, Patricia Wise of Waynesburg, Pamela Tucker of Graysville and Penny Bell of Wind Ridge; one brother, Clifford Amos of Jefferson; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren.Deceased are two grandchildren, Wesley Ryan and Abigail Rachelle Amos; two brothers, Glenn and Carl Amos.Harvey's Grange 1444 will conduct memorial services in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Monday.
