Sudie Tustin

Sudie Lee Tustin, 72, of New Freeport, Pa. (Springhill Twp.) died at 4:07 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in the Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, and W.Va. after being in failing health for the past few months.She was born April 20, 1937 in Springhill Twp. Greene Co. Pa. a daughter of Jno and Gertrude Virginia Bissett Barger and had resided in Ohio and S. Carolina for several years, but has lived most of her life in Springhill Twp.Mrs. Tustin was a former waitress in Youngstown, Ohio and was last employed by Buckheimer's in Cameron, W.Va. for several years.She enjoyed crocheting, word search and picture puzzles, and watching old westerns.Mrs. Tustin was 1956 graduate of the former Center Twp. High School in Rogersville, Pa.On November 8, 1967 she married Howard William Tustin, Sr. who died April 21, 2004.Surviving are two daughters, Cindy Thorne of Springhill Twp. and Lisa, wife of Michael Mace of Brave; three sons, D. Leroy Tustin of Springhill Twp., Patrick (Rick) Barger of Des Moines, IA and David Barger of Huntsville, AL.; a step son, Howard W. (Willie) Tustin, Jr., companion of Trudy Minton of Graysville; a step daughter, Tina Lou, wife of Arnold Wickham of Wind Ridge; a brother, Patrick Barger of California, Pa.; three sisters, Kitty Lou, wife of Roger Long of Silver Hill, W.Va., Linda Neely, companion of Harry Wright of New Matamoras, Ohio and Evelyn June Boggs of New Martinsville, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, David, Megan and Monica Barger, Jeanette Tustin, Kymberly and Ryan Thorne and Easton Mace; one great grandchild; three step grandchildren, Stacey and Brandon Wickham and Michael Tustin.Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are four brothers, John, Ralph, Edward and David Barger.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the New Freeport Church of Christ or your local American Heart Association.
