Obituary for Stephen Mason
Stephen Mason, age 67, passed away at home on Thursday, September 21, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 3, 1950, in Cameron, WV, he is the son of the late Laverne and Lois (Bonar) Mason.
Stephen graduated from West Greene High School. He was employed by Tri-County Oil & Gas for eight years. Stephen was the owner of Springhill Well Service, Inc. for 24 years. He enjoyed farming, raising mules and pigs, gardening and taking care of his greenhouse. Stephen was a collector of tractors, oil and gas items. His dog Petey was his buddy. Above all, his family was the most important to him.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gloria (Reed) Mason; children, Heather (Rick) Frazer, of Waynesburg, PA, Holly (Mark) Kiel, of Waynesburg, PA, Heidi (Joe) Steele, of Belaire, OH, Hope Mason, Waynesburg, PA; ten grandchildren, Corinne and Chelsea Frazer, Cullen Frazer (passed away 2012) Christan and Stephen Kiel, Katie, Breanna, Hunter Orrahood, Olivia and Lilly Steele; one sister, Barbara Hull, of Finleyville, PA; sister-in-law, Carol Kratzer, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Jeffrey and Stephen Mason and grandson, Cullen Frazer.
Friends will be received on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. (724) 499-5181 A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor David McElroy, officiating.
