Shirley Schlanz

Shirley Staggers Schlanz, 78, of Graysville, Pa. died Thursday, April 16, 2009 in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. following surgery for a cancer related illness.She was born February 28, 1931 in Graysville, Pa. a daughter of the late Oakle William (Bill) and Audrey C. Wells Staggers and had resided in the Graysville area all her life.Mrs. Schlanz was a devoted Christian and a member of the Unity Presbyterian Church at Graysville.She was a member of Harvey's Grange 1444 at Graysville, and the West Greene Senior Citizens and had attended the Washington Senior Citizens and the Day Care Center at the Washington County Health Center.In November of 1983 she married Franklin Albert Schlanz who died February 17, 2008.Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is her step mother, Anna Belle Haught Harvey Staggers.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Unity Presbyterian Church, c/o of Mary Lou Hughes, 311 Dividing Ridge Rd., Graysville, Pa. 15337.
