Shelva Marie (Hodgson) O'neil

Shelva Marie (Hodgson) O’Neil, age 49, of New Freeport, PA., passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, September 29, 2016.

Born May 31, 1967, in Bellaire, Ohio, she is the daughter of Shelva June (Littleton) Hodgson and the late Russell Edward Hodgson.


Shelva attended Wheeling Park High School. Her hobbies included crafts, knitting, crochet, making afghans and other items for her family. Shelva was a clothing seamstress. She loved planting flowers and gardening outdoors. Above all, her family and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.


Surviving are her husband, Roger Keith O’Neil, of New Freeport, PA; two sons, Jeffery O’Neil and Zachary (Katy Gorby) O’Neil both of New Freeport, PA; daughter, Natasha O’Neil, of Fairmont, WV; brother, Russell Hodgson of Weirton, WV; two grandchildren Sabrina Gorby and Sophia O’Neil.


At the request of the family all services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Highway, Rogersville, PA, 15359.
