Sara Louise Mounts

Sara Louise Mounts, 84, of Claysville, Pa. died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in The Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. after being in failing health for the past year.
She was born November 10, 1930 in Rogersville, Pa. a daughter of the late Thomas Ross and Florence Amy Ward Church and had resided in Claysville since 1941.
Mrs. Mounts was a member, a former deacon and Sunday school teacher at the Claysville Presbyterian Church and was a 1948 graduate of the former Claysville High School.
She was a former employee of Campsey Seed Feed, the former Goldens IGA Store, and was last employed at Minteers Market for 21 years prior to retiring in 1997.
Mrs. Mounts was an avid Mickey Mouse collector, and also enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, raising flowers and reading mysteries.
She was a member and former treasurer of the Claysville Senior Citizens.
On January 28, 1955 she married Kenneth Wray Mounts who died April 8, 1999.
Surviving are a son, Kevin, husband of Coralee Mounts of Claysville; four grandchildren, Chris and Angel Boggs, Kristian and Keith Mounts; two step-grandchildren, Josh and Chris Davis; three great grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; two sisters, Eleanor Jane Clutter of Bloomington, IN. and Irma Lee Golden of Bentleyville; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a daughter, Kathy Wynn Boggs who died October 31, 1994; a sister, Katherine Jane Church who died at birth; two brothers, John Ross and Ralph Bernard Church.
Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Claysville United Presbyterian Church where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 with Rev. Jerome Creach officiating. Interment will follow in the Claysville Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to your local American Cancer Society.
