Samuel J. Thompson

Samuel J. Thompson, age 67, of Holbrook, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019 UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born December 13, 1951, in Waynesburg, he is the son of the late James Leslie and Virginia Lee (Toland) Thompson.

Samuel was a resident of the Rutan area since 1981. He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church. Samuel married Mary Louise Zediker on May 2, 1981 and were happily married for 23 years until her passing in 2004. He was a former employee of Donley Brick, Washington, PA, Consol Gas of PA inc., Higgins Hauling, Tow Truck Driver for Ray and Sarah McClellan, General Farm Hand, Washington Twp. Greene County, Burns Security, then retiring in 2001 after working for Baily Mine as a Security Guard.

He is survived by two daughters, Jessica Sebulsky and Samantha Johnson, both of Holbrook; companion, Sylvia McClure; three brothers, Robert D. Thompson, of Washington, John F. Thompson, of Sycamore, and Harold J. (Patty Lynn) Thompson, of Scenery Hill; two sisters, Bertha I. Kinney, of Waynesburg and Sarah E. (Robert) Keefer, of West Alexander.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one infant son, Leslie; one infant daughter, Rebecca; second wife, Eleen Ferinsky; five siblings.
