S. Kiger

S. Margaret Kiger, 78, of West Alexander, Pa. R.D. #1 died Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 1:30 a.m. from injuries received in a fire in her home. She was born February 28, 1926 in West Finley Twp, Washington County, Pa. a daughter of Clem Gray, Sr. and Frances Salson Whiteman Gray and had resided in West Finley Twp. all of her life. Mrs. Kiger was a 1944 graduate of West Alexander High School.She and her late husband were life partners and enjoyed working their farm as long as their health permitted.On June 6, 1945, she married Sherman E. "Unk" Kiger, Sr. who died January 1, 2002. Surviving are one son, Sherman E. "Butch" Kiger, Jr., wife of Patricia Cox Kiger of Sutherland, Neb.; one daughter, Judith D., wife of Buck Ritchea with whom she shared her home; eight grandchildren, Sherman A. "Art", and Wade H. Kiger, Brandy Kiger Tribett, Terry L. Loughman, Rosella A. Ealy, Melissa Dawn Gebhardt, Maggie D. Weisal, Jolene M. Eisenhowser; two step grandchildren, Nichole Bermel Faught and Gene W. Vogel; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister, Anna Lohr of Waterloo, N.Y.; one brother, Clem Gray, Jr. wife of Marie Richey Gray of West Alexander, Pa. Deceased are one great grandchild; seven brothers, Leslie, Wade, George, Paul and Guy Gray; Wilbur and Russell Gray who both died in infancy; two sisters, Agnes E. Donston and Frances G. Grimes.
