Ruthana Waychoff

Ruthana Dains Waychoff, 73, of Center Twp. Greene Co. Pa. died at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009 in the Point Manor Personal Care Home, Point Marion, Pa. after suffering with Alzheimer's Disease for the past several years.She was born January 28, 1936 in Waynesburg, Pa. a daughter of the late Solomon Roy and Florence Marie Durbin Dains.Mrs. Waychoff resided in Ravenna, Ohio for approximately 10 years prior to moving to Center Twp. Greene Co. in 1967.She was a 1954 graduate of Waynesburg High School.Mrs. Waychoff was employed as a bookkeeper for the former Jack Husk Auctions and for Joseph R. Pyle Auctions for a total of 30 years.She enjoyed listening to country music, quilting, flower gardening and bird watching, especially cardinals as long as her health permitted.On April 23, 1980 she married John L. H. Waychoff who died August 21, 2007.Surviving are a daughter, Lynn Henderson, wife of Phillip Stoneking and a son, Michael Smith, companion to Bridget Vernon all of Oak Forest; a sister, Cora Stevens of Baltimore, MD.; a brother, Robert, husband of Lee Dains of Waynesburg; four grandchildren, Misty Forkey, Tyler Smith, Derek Stickles and Colton Stoneking; a great granddaughter, Kadence Forkey.Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a daughter, Pamela Smith who died in infancy; a sister, Mary Horner.
