Ruth Hoge

Ruth E. Hoge, 92, of Franklin Twp., Greene Co., Pa. died at 3:47 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006 in the Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg after being seriously ill for the past seven weeks.She was born January 18, 1914 in Franklin Twp., Greene Co. a daughter of John D. and Gertrude McNurlan Throckmorton and had resided in Greene County all of her life.Mrs. Hoge attended Oak Forrest Grade School and Waynesburg High School and was a member of First Christian Church in Waynesburg. She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening and traveling as long as her health permitted.On September 1, 1931, she married James Randall Hoge who died April 10, 1971.Surviving are her son, John J., husband of Judy Hoge of Waynesburg; one brother, Joseph, husband of Arveda Throckmorton of Waynesburg; one step brother, Ira Roupe of Fairmount, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Gary, Terry and Cary Hoge, Larry and Michael Fleckenstein and Barbara Braun; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two nephews, Donald and Ronald Throckmorton. Deceased are her daughter, Patricia Fleckenstein and her grandson, Danny Fleckenstein.The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church, PO Box 191, Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
