Russell Morris

Russell Morris, 76, of Center Twp. Greene Co. Pa. died at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007 in his home.Mr. Morris was born September 10, 1930 in Springhill Twp. Greene Co. Pa. a son of Floyd Pete and Audrey McMasters Morris had resided in Carrollton, Ohio for over 30 years.He was a former employee of Davey Tree Co. in Greene Co. and a farm hand in Ohio and was last employed by the Allen Box Co. in Bergholz, Ohio for over 26 years prior to retiring in 1991, and has been a resident of Center Twp. since 2002.Mr. Morris enjoyed hunting as long as his health permitted and the time spent with his grandchildren.On January 31, 1965 he married Ruth Eleanor Pierson who survives.Also surviving are a daughter, Tammi (James) S. Johnson of Center Twp.; a brother, Pete Morris of Holbrook; four sisters, Erma (Gary) Orndoff of Waynesburg, Jessie Stohan, Ethel Phillips and Thelma Morris all of Holbrook; four grandchildren, Matthew Morris, Michael, Adam and Timothy Straight; a step granddaughter, Kimberly Johnson; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to his parents are two grandchildren; two brothers, George and Junior Morris and three siblings who died in infancy.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
