Obituary for Robert Lynn Cunningham
Robert Lynn Cunningham, 57, of Cameron, W.Va. died at 12:30 p.m.Saturday, September 12, 2015 in his home after being seriously ill with a cancer related illness for the past three months.
He was born February 4, 1958 in Wheeling, W.Va. a son of Robert Gerald (Gerry) and Barbara Christina (Chris) Yeater Cunningham of Cameron and had resided in Cameron all his life.
Mr. Cunningham enjoyed being out-of-doors, hunting, fishing and camping and was an avid football fan.
He was a 1976 graduate of Cameron High School.
Mr. Cunningham had been employed as a rural route mail carrier out of the Waynesburg office for the past fifteen years.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a son, Dallas Cunningham, fiance of Emily Hoag of Cameron; a grandson, Braxton James Max Cunningham; the mother of his children, Bonni Jordan of Aleppo; maternal grandmother, Barbara Louise Frye Yeater of Cameron; two brothers, Mike, husband of Cindy Cunningham of Cameron and Gerry, husband of Hwa Mi Cunningham of Roundrock, Texas; two sisters, Debbie Cunningham, companion of Dave Wright of Cameron and Mndy, wife of John Wright of Wheeling; several nieces and nehpews.
Deceased are a son, Max Cunningham who died May 24, 2015; maternal grandfather, Woodrow M. Yeater, Sr.; a brother, Richard (Bubba) Cunningham; paternal grandparents, Hubert and Irene Polen Cunningham.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Family and friends are invited to attend a bereavement dinner to be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the Cameron EMS Building in Cameron, W.Va. The family suggests memorial contrbutions be made to a charity of your choice.
