Robert L. Gillogly, 56, of Holbrook, Pa. died unexpectedly at 5:15 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006 in his home.He was born December 2, 1949 in Washington, a son of Jack S. and Faith L. Stockdale Gillogly of Holbrook, R.D. #1 and had resided in Greene County all of his life. Mr. Gillogly was a 1967 graduate of West Greene High School and had attended Valley Chapel Methodist Church in Holbrook. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served with the U.S. Army as an SP5 with the 402nd Trans Co. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Mr. Gillogly was a member of the Greene County Farm Bureau, the Moose Lodge #461, American Legion Post #330, and VFW Post #4793 all of WaynesburgHe was employed by the Foundation Coal Company (LTV/ R.A.G.) for 34 years prior to retiring in 2004 as an assistant mine foreman.Mr. Gillogly enjoyed the time spent with family and grandchildren, hunting, farming and boating.On December 14, 1968 he married Judith M. Boster Gillogly who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are one son, Ryan A. "Andy" husband of Julie Henry Gillogly of Carmichaels; one sister, Linda, wife of Ed Porter of Holbrook, R.D. #1; four grandchildren, Justin L., Devin W., Bryant J. and Ashlynn R. "Bug" Gillogly.Deceased are a son, Brian Lee Gillogly who died on December 22, 2005 and two brothers, Kim S. and Jack S. Gillogly II.
