Robert Archer

Robert W. Archer, 77, of West Alexander, Pa. died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2003 in the Crestview Health Care Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio after being in failing health for the past several months.He was born June 30, 1926 in West Finley Township, Washington County, Pa. a son of Jesse Robert and Lottie Gertrude Milliken Archer.Mr. Archer had resided in West Finley Township all his life prior to moving to Claysville and has resided in the West Alexander since 1985.He was a member of the Dallas Presbyterian Church in Dallas, W.Va. where he formerly served as an Elder and TrusteeMr. Archer was a self-employed farmer in West Finley Township prior to retiring in 1982.On September 29, 1962 he married Gertrude Ann Supler Archer who survives.Also surviving is a daughter, Rebecca A. Alsalehi of Pittsburgh (Franklin Park), Pa.; a grandson, Matthew D. Alsalehi; several nieces and nephews.Deceased are a brother, Harold D. Archer, Sr.; three sisters, Madolyn and Gladys Day, and Phoebe Braddock.Mr. Archer was the last of his immediate family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the West Alexander V.F.D.
