Reed W. Beabout, 81, of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of Nineveh died at 8:02 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 in the Southmont Presbyterian Senior Care in Washington, Pa. after being in failing health for the past year.He was born June 3, 1928 in Nineveh, Pa. a son of the late Leo Lester and Vesta Nanny Clutter Beabout and had resided in Greene County most of his life.Mr. Beabout was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church at Nineveh and the Moose Lodge in Waynesburg.He was employed as a laborer with U.M.W. District 4 for several years working for Dick Corp., R.G. Johnson and several other construction companies, and was last employed by Hartman Hartman for 5 years prior to retiring in 1991. Mr. Beabout was a veteran of the Korean War where he served with the 4th Communications Construction Squadron with the U.S. Air Force.He enjoyed gardening, watching and feeding hummingbirds, country music, attending flea markets and auctions, and attending family reunions.On October 22, 1953 he married Mary Joyce Livosz who died November 13, 2006.Surviving are two sons, John Reed, husband of Diane Beabout of Carmichaels and Dennis Wayne Beabout of Oak Forest; two daughters, Debra Lynn (twin to Dennis), wife of William Thomas of West Alexander and Kimberly Sue, wife of Larry Bedilion of Waynesburg; a daughter-in-law, Helen Beabout of Washington; 11 grandchildren, Joseph, John, Jason, Jacob and Karalee Beabout, Bryan, Jeremy and Heidi Thomas, Eric, Justin and Joshua Bedilion; two great granddaughters, Morgan and Kendell Beabout; two sisters, Sarah Gertrude Hopkins of Oakmont, Pa. and Lois Irene Conaway of Washington; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to his parents and wife is a son, Chris Paul Beabout who died November 16, 2001; a sister, Dorothy Mae Karvan; five brothers, Herbert Wayne, George Albert, Charles Leo, Carl Edward and Earl Wendell Beabout.
