Peggy Lou Clark, 70, of Waynesburg, Pa. died at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008 in her home after being in poor health for the past twenty years and seriously ill for the past three years. She was born December 3, 1937 in Waynesburg, Pa. a daughter of Ray W. and Sylvia Mae Rex Clark and had resided in Lafayette, In. for several years prior to returning to Greene County in 1975. Mrs. Clark was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg and was a founding member of the former Mt. Zion Church at Bluff, (Center Twp.) Pa. She was a graduate of Waynesburg High School. Mrs. Clark was last employed as an corrections officer by the Commonwealth of Pa. at the SCI - Waynesburg (Womens Prison) for 13 years prior to retiring and was a member of the A.F.S.M.E. union. She was an avid reader. On December 23, 1981, she married Thomas Clark, Jr. who survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Charlotte J. (Morgan), wife of Larry Melady of Lafayette, Ind.; one son, Richard D. Morgan of Waynesburg, Pa.; one step-daughter, Vicki L., wife of Arnold Wilson of Washington; two step-sons, David C., husband of Linda Clark of Holbrook and Randall L., husband of Gina Clark of Rogersville; two sisters, Jean Churney of Waynesburg and Shirley, wife of Dick Rice of Westerville, Oh.; two brothers, George, husband of Linda Clark of Byron, GA and Robert, husband of Eunice Clark of Sun City, Az.; four grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Deceased are one sister, Joann E. Jacobs; three brothers, Charles, Jerry and John Clark.
