Pauline Dunton

Pauline Dunton, 80, of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of Graysville, Pa. R.D.#1 died unexpectedly at 10:53 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in her home.She was born April 13, 1927 in Graysville, Pa. a daughter of John Hagen Stewart, Sr. and Dora Belle Longstreth Stewart.Mrs. Dunton had resided in Grantsville and Baltimore , MD., and Somerset, Pa. prior to returning to Greene County and the Graysville area in 1993 where she resided until moving to Waynesburg in 2000.She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church at Graysville, Pa. and was a 1945 graduate of Richhill Twp. High School and a graduate of Catherman's Business College in Cumberland, MD.Mrs. Dunton was a former employee of Thycol Industries in Cumberland, MD, and was also employed as a desk clerk with Best Western and in the housekeeping department for the Town Country Apartments both in Baltimore, MD. and was last employed by the National Development Corp. in Somerset, Pa. for 10 years prior to retiring in 1993.She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, music in general and playing the mandolin.On July 29, 1946 she married Lloyd Elmer Dunton who died March 10, 1999.Surviving are three sons, Brian Dunton and his fianc Levada Ackerman of Somerset, Kevin, husband of Louise Dunton of Baltimore, MD. and Craig Dunton of Lake Wales, Fl.; four grandchildren, Danny, Creaig, Eric and Elizabeth Dunton; one great grandchild.Deceased are a sister, Audrene L. Wise; two brothers, Kenneth C. Stewart who was killed in the Korean War and John Hagen Stewart, Jr.She was the last of her immediate family.
