Paul R. Morris, age 89, of Wildwood, FL. (formerly of Waynesburg, PA.) passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the Villages Hospice House, The Villages, FL.
Paul was born September 5, 1929 in Waynesburg, PA., he is the son of the late Ross and Blanche (Longstreth) Morris.
Paul was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of employment. Paul and his wife, Betty, moved from Pennsylvania to Florida over 30 years ago. He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Morris enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting. He was a life member of the Waynesburg V.F.W Post #4793 and Local U.A.W., 1747 and 755.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Betty Jane Morris, of Wildwood, FL; son, John R. Morris of Lexington, OH; 3 grandchildren, Traci Bowlin, Greg Morris and Jessie Morris; 8 great-grandchildren, Bethanie Ferrell, Troy Ferrell, Selena Morris, Vada Betts, Brigette Morris, Emberlyn Morris, Addison Morris and Amelia Porter; one nephew, Richard Davis, of Fredricktown, MD.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Ciez.
Friends will be received on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Cynthia Deter, officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Center Twp. PA. with full military honors by the U.S. Army, James Ferrell American Legion and the Waynesburg V.F.W. Post # 4793.
