Patty Hickman

Patty Lou Hickman, 77, of Claysville, Pa. died at 11:55 a.m. Friday, January 1, 2010 in The Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa.She was born February 12, 1932 in Dunn Station, Washington Co. Pa. a daughter of the late, Russell Ralph and Romaine Irene Spillman Auld and had been a resident of the Claysville area since 1952.Mrs. Hickman was a member of the Claysville United Presbyterian Church, the Claysville V.F.D. Auxiliary and the Claysville Senior Citizens.Mrs. Hickman was a 1950 graduate of Trinity High School.She was an avid gardener, enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and the time that she was able to spend with her family and grandchildren.On October 13, 1950 she married Donald Penn Hickman who survives.Also surviving are two sons, C. Dean, husband of Debbie Hickman of Washington and Jay A., husband of Peggy Hickman of Claysville; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents are a son who died in infancy and a daughter, Donna Lou Black who died in 2002.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Claysville U.P. Church or the Claysville V.F.D.
