Patricia B. Eddy, 69, of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of Pine Bank and Center Twp. (Hargus Creek) died at 1:13 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg after being in failing health for the past 10 years with illnesses related to Alzheimer's disease. She was born April 16, 1938 in Gilmore Twp. (Pine Bank), Greene Co. Pa. a daughter of the late Nella Allen Myers and had resided in the Center Twp. (Hargus Creek) area from 1985 until moving to Waynesburg in 1994. Mrs. Eddy attended Clay-Battelle H.S. and was a former member of the American Legion and Moose Auxiliaries both in Waynesburg. She enjoyed gardening, listening to country music and oldies and making latch hook rugs. Mrs. Eddy was an employee of the former Waynesburg Restaurant, Rhea's Rest Home, and was also a private duty nurse aid prior to being employed for 9 years by the former Franklin Care Center in Waynesburg, retiring in 1995. Surviving are four daughters, Pamela Kay Purdy of New Castle, Carmel Marlene Seaman of Daybrook, W.Va., Jacqueline A. Headlee of Waynesburg and Trina M. Presock of Carmichaels; two sons, Ricky E. Eddy of Okeechobee, Fl. and Craig D. Eddy of Fairview, W.Va.; one brother, Gary T. Six of Holiday, Fl.; two sisters, Bernice Lee Tennant of Fairview, W.Va. and Glenda G. Sconish of Fairmont, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to her mother are a son, Kenneth Lee Eddy; a granddaughter, Vanessa M. Tarr; her ex-husband, Kenneth E. Eddy; her companion of 15 years, George A. Howard. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc., Rogersville, Pa. where services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 with Pastor Richard O. Ritenour officiating. Interment will follow in Blacksville Cemetery, Blacksville, W.Va. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E 201, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15222.
