Pamela K. (Eddy) Purdy

Pamela K. (Eddy) Purdy, age 65 of Waynesburg formerly of New Castle, PA, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Washington Hospital.

She was born on January 23, 1956, in Waynesburg, PA, the daughter of the late Kenneth Eugene Eddy and Patricia Belle (Myers) Eddy of Waynesburg, PA.

Pamela was a homemaker and was known for her sense of humor and sending out many Christmas cards to her friends and family. She loved bird watching, singing and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Pamela was blessed to attend the church services and bible study while living at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home for the last ten years. She loved her "family" at Rolling Meadows.

She is survived by her fiancé, Kevin Esworthy, three children, Jen Smith of Palm Coast, FL, David Thomas Purdy, and Lauren (DeWayne DeGaton) Purdy both of New Castle, PA; eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three sisters, Jacki (Rick) Headlee of Waynesburg, PA, Marlene (Roger) Seaman of Fairview, WV, Trina (Charles Wise) Presock of Clarksville, PA; and many nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by a daughter, Vanessa Marie Tarr, and three brothers, Kenneth Lee, Craig, and Ricky Eddy.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 11AM to 1PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held at 1PM immediately following the visitation at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Blacksville Cemetery, TR731 Cemetery Street, Spraggs, PA 15362 in Wayne Township.
