Norval Morgan

Norval Ira Morgan, 88, of Waynesburg and formerly of Rogersville, Pa. died at 7:36 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 1995 in the Franklin Care Center.He was born May 6, 1907 in Farmington, W.Va. a son of Will Aaron and Maggie Belle Nicely Morgan and had resided in Rogersville from 1949 until moving to Waynesburg in 1988.Mr. Morgan was a member of the Rogersville United Methodist Church.He was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows Electic Lodge #69 in Farmington, W.Va.Mr. Morgan was a 1925 graduate of Farmington High School.He was employed by Equitable Natural Gas Co. for 35 year, working in Farmington and retiring as a station engineer from the Rogersville station in 1970.Mr. Morgan served with the West Virginia National Guard as a private first class in Co. A, 201st infantry from 1932 to 1937.He was married to Maude Marian Cooper Morgan who died February 14, 1965 and on June 7, 1966 he married Helen Virginia Maason Morgan who survives.Also surviving are four sons, John C. Morgan of Pittsburgh, Richard A. Morgan of Lafayette, Ind., Carroll E. Morgan of Wappingers Falls, N.Y. and N. Scott Morgan of Waynesburg; two step sons, Paul L. Bowers of Sturbridge, Mass. and Charles W. Bowers of Waynesburg; one step daughter, Mrs. James (Betty) Grove of Waynesburg; five sisters, Laura Lee Bennett, Hazel Bennett and Mrs. Ray (Elizabeth) Paul all of Chesapeake, Va.; Juanita Moore of Norfolk, Va. and Lulu Grein of Lake Charles, La.; three grandchildren, three step grandchildren and four great grandchildren.Deceased are one brother, Paul Morgan; four sisters, Edna Morgan, Ellen Morgan, Alma Stuerry and Margaret Lancaster; one grandson died at birth.
