Nellie Schooley

Nellie M. Barlow Eddy Schooley, 78, of Waynesburg, Pa. died at 5:19 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011 in her home after being in failing health for the past two years.She was born September 3, 1932 in Waynesburg a daughter of the late Thomas and Goldie Mae Brooks Barlow and had resided in the Greene County and Waynesburg areas most of her life.Mrs. Eddy was an avid bingo player as long as her health permitted and enjoyed watching soap operas.She was last employed as a cook at the D.A.V. Post 123 in Waynesburg for over 20 years prior to retiring in 1996.Surviving are three daughters, Margaret, wife of Frank Kiger, Sr. of Waynesburg, Donna Mae, wife of Robert Arthur of Prosperity and Kimberly Jean, wife of Randy Tharp of Douglas, Ga.; three sons, Joseph F. Eddy, Sr., husband of Grace Eddy of Aleppo, James M., husband of Julia Eddy of Bentleyville and Richard Lee Powell of Spraggs; a brother, Victor Barlow of Pine Bank; 22 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to her parents is a son, Vincent Wayne Eddy; three granddaughters, Simonia Lynn, Barbara Ann and Deborah Sue Kiger; 7 great grandchildren, Shawn David, Christopher Livingston, Donna Jo and Joshua Lee Arthur, Jr., Tiffany Marie, Rebecca Lynn and Diamond Nichole Blake; a sister, Elizabeth Rosa Mae Barlow; 7 brothers, Pete, Liberty, Nick, Charles, Albert, Paul and Joseph Barlow.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rush Funeral Home, Inc., PO Box 388, Rogersville, Pa. 15359.
