Nancy Frost

Biography
Nancy Jane Frost, 71, of Holbrook, Pa. died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waynesburg, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several years. She was born January 26, 1943 in Franklin Twp., Greene County, Pa. a daughter of the late Raymond Clayton Dowler and Vergie Virginia Glover Dowler Dye and had been a resident of the Center Twp. area since 1978. Mrs. Frost attended West Greene High School was last employed as a claims examiner for the Bureau of Employment Security in Waynesburg for eleven years prior to retiring in 1984. She was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army where she served as a Private First Class in the Women's Army Corps. Mrs. Frost enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, gardening and the time spent with her grandchildren. On July 17, 1976 she married Carl Allen Frost who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Dawn, wife of Tim Horr of Holbrook; two sons, Frankie Blackmon of Elyria, Ohio and Frankie Frost of Holbrook; three step-children; five grandchildren, Brian Taft, Adam and Katie Horr, Wade and Randi Blackmon; a brother, Jack, husband of Judy Dowler of Streetsboro, Ohio. Deceased in addition to her parents are her step-father, Albert Jefferson (Jeff) Dye; two sons, Duane Earl Blackmon and Roger Frost who both died in 2011. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2014 with Pastor James H. Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Jackson Twp. Graveside military rites will be accorded by representatives of the U.S. Army and the American Legion Post 330 of Waynesburg. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Center Twp. V.F.D.
