N. Kathleen Welling Courtwright, 84, of Aleppo Twp. died unexpectedly at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, February 6, 2011 in her home.She was born November 4, 1926 in Majorsville, W.Va. a daughter of the late Elmer "Davey" Franklin Raymer and Lottie Jane Whiteman Raymer Powell.Mrs. Courtwright had resided in Holbrook, Pa. for over 30 years prior to moving to Aleppo Twp. in 1997.She was a member of the former Sugar Grove Union Bible Church and had been attending the Crabapple Community Church.Mrs. Courtwright enjoyed her constant companion, her pet dog "Killer", crafts, crocheting and baking and in her earlier years dabbled in taxidermy.On October 3, 1946 she married William Robert Welling who died March 29, 1995 and on July 27, 1997 she married Lee "Junior" Courtwright who died February 19, 2003.Surviving is a daughter, Donna, wife of Kenneth Waters of Pelham, New Hampshire; two sons, John Robert, husband of Loretta Welling of S. Lebanon, Ohio and Ronald Franklin Welling at home; two step children, William S. Richards of Wierton, W.Va. and Nancy, wife of Thomas Stenger of Wind Ridge; a brother, Roland, husband of Peg Raymer of Lakeside, Oregon; three granddaughters, Amy Welling, Kathy Major and Barbara Razo; five great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to her parents and husbands are a son, Ralford E. "Ace" Welling; a great grandchild, Katlynn Welling; two sisters, Mildred Mahan Bedilion and Florence Ellison.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Crabapple Community Church, PO Box 45, Wind Ridge, Pa. 15380.
