Myrtle Moore

Myrtle L. Moore, 93, of Nineveh, Pa. died at 10:25 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 in the home of her granddaughter, Rebecca Wells after a 10 month battle with a brain tumor.She was born September 4, 1917 in Wayne Twp. (Kuhntown), Greene Co. Pa. a daughter of the late Archie Stanley and Osa Mae Stewart Moore.Mrs. Moore had resided in the Morris Twp. area of Greene Co. most of her life.She enjoyed gardening and general farm work as long as her health perimitted.Mrs. Moore was formerly married to the late John Lindsey Moore.Surviving are a daughter, Louise, wife of Lonnie Tenney of Washington, Pa.; a son, Harold (Buck), husband of Linda Moore of Morris Twp. Greene Co.; 14 grandchildren, William (Junior), Kevin, Brian , Shawna , Mandy and Jason Moore, Linda Burquist, , Jeff Chaple, Rebecca Wells ( with whom she made her home), Charles (Dale) and Ervin Durbin, Shelvie Menzer, Melissa Gaso and Jessica Smitley; 22 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents and former husband is a son, Stanley Paul Moore (9/15/2004); two sisters, Grace Ella Miller (8/6/2010) and a sister who died in infancy; a brother, C. Stanley Moore.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
