Milton Arett Todd, 89, of Wind Ridge, Pa. died at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2005 in his home after being in failing health for the past several months and seriously ill since July.He was born June 23, 1916 in Cameron, W.Va. a son of Willis Orion Todd and Annie Elva Courtwright Todd Burkhart and had been a resident of Baltimore, Md. prior to moving to Wind Ridge where he had resided most of his life.Mr. Todd had attended the Cameron, W.Va. schools.He was a member of the Wind Ridge Christian Church.Mr. Todd was formerly employed in local oil fields as a tool dresser and a lineman for the telephone company, a janitor at West Greene High School, a laborer with Pittsburgh Pipe Cleaners, and he served as a civilian guard with the US Coast Guard in Maryland and was last employed by Cameron Tool Company for 20 years prior to retiring in May 1982.He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Waynesburg, the Waynesburg Masonic Lodge 153 FAM, a social member of the Cameron American Legion, a life member of the Wind Ridge Sportsman's Club and an original member of the Richhill V.F.D.On December 20, 1939 he married Pauline Gillispie who died January 18, 2003.Surviving are two daughters, Catherine Joanne Todd and Marlene Helen, wife of George Harrison all of Waynesburg; one son, Roger, husband of Mary Ruth Gump Todd of Wind Ridge; two step sisters, Ruth Burkhart, wife of Carl Carmichael of Beloit, Ohio and Marjorie Burkhart Smith of Moundsville, W.Va.; four granddaughters, Dawn, wife of Louis Penland of Marion, N.C., Sheila A. Garetson, companion of Jason Hartley of Waynesburg; Angela L., wife of Donald Miltz of Graysville, Pa. and Sherry D., wife of Gary Tedrow of Wind Ridge; six great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to his wife are a grandson, Kevin L. Todd who died January 19, 1992; a brother, Harley R. Todd; two sisters, Emma Sabina Todd Gozard and Betty Lee Todd Tedrow; a step-brother, Clarence G. Burkhart; his step-father, George G. Burkhart. The Waynesburg Masonic Lodge 153 FAM will conduct memorial services in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
