Mary Wise

Mary L. Parson Wise, 76, of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of Hundred, W.Va. died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 10:45 p.m. in her home of a cancer related illness of one year.She was born September 1, 1932 in Jackson Twp, (Bristoria), Greene Co. Pa. a daughter of the late Lloyd Elbin and Ruth Evelyn Murray Hull.Mrs. Wise had resided in the Hundred, W.Va. area for 51 years prior to returning to Greene Co. in June 2007.She was a member of the Hundred United Methodist Church and the Hundred Senior Citizens.Mrs. Wise enjoyed baking, especially pies and bread and quilting.On June 24, 1950 she married John Vincent Parson, Sr. who died July 29, 1981 and on February 7, 1983 she married Allen "Abe" Wise who died February 14, 1998.Surviving are two sons, John V. Parson, Jr, husband of Cynthia Parson of Paden City, W.Va. and Ronnie L., husband of Brenda Parson of Waynesburg; two sisters, Marilyn, wife of Harry Carroll of West Finley and Joan Hughes of Holbrook; four brothers, Melvin, husband of Jane Hull of Rogersville, Terry, husband of Kay Hull of Waynesburg, Roger, husband of Mabel Hull of Prosperity and Kenneth, husband of Barbara Hull of Moundsville, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Jason, Kiley and Kristina Parson; four great grandchildren, D.J., Destiny, Jasmine and Karter Parson.Deceased in addition to her parents and husbands are three brothers, William R. and Oscar L. Hull who both died in infancy and Lloyd Eugene Hull; one sister, Nadine Stewart.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hundred Senior Center, PO Box 151, Hundred, W.Va. 26575.
