Mary Lou Wamsley, 83, of Jollytown, Pa., died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 in her home after becoming seriously ill December 27.She was born October 4, 1929 in Wayne Twp., Greene Co. Pa. a daughter of the late Robert Milton and Nora Mae Roupe Lemmon and has resided in the Jollytown area most of her life.Mrs. Wamsley was a member of the Jollytown United Methodist Church, and had been attending the Sugar Grove Union Bible Church at McCracken, where she was a member of the Friendship Circle of the church.She often used the phrase "her grandchildren were her life", and also enjoyed traveling (especially to Cody, Wyoming), reading, bird watching, bird feeding and watching reality television. Mrs. Wamsley attended the former Waynesburg High School.She was last employed as a nurse's aid by the W.Va University (Ruby) Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. and the former Greene County Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg, Pa. On November 24, 1964 she married James Ervin Wamsley who died May 27, 1999 and was formerly married to the late Ralph H. (Shiner) Jones who died June 16, 2002.Surviving are a son, Ralph H. (Buck) Jones, Jr., husband of Alberta Jones of Jollytown; two granddaughters, Jennifer, wife of David Jones of Waynesburg and Jessica, wife of Todd Ruffner of Cowpens, S. Carolina; three grandchildren, Paige Jones, Landon and Brenna Ruffner; a sister, Linda, wife of William Miller of Jollytown; a brother, Robert W., husband of Leona Lemmon of Waynesburg, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; also surviving are two step sons, and several step grandchildren.Deceased in addition to her parents and husbands is a grandson, Barry L. Jones.The family suggests memorial books be donated to either the Waynesburg Central Elementary Library, 90 Zimmerman Dr., Waynesburg, Pa. 15370 or the Northwest Elementary School Library, 840 Green River Rd., Gaffney, S. Carolina, 29341.
