Mary Mcguffie

Mary E. "Betty" McGuffie, 86, formerly of Greene Co. and Charleroi, Pa. died unexpectedly at 7:00 p.m. August 8, 2006 in Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, Fl. She was born May 16, 1920 in Beaver, Pa. a daughter of Clare McBeth and Cora Rachael Hosack Kennedy and had resided in Charleroi prior to moving to Florida in 1995.Mrs. McGuffie was a member of the Second United Presbyterian Church in Washington. She was a member of the Ginger Hill Grange and was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society in Washington.She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and playing cards.On August 5, 1939 she married James Edison McGuffie who died on August 19, 2004.Surviving are two daughters, Connie Edwards of Granbury, Texas and Kathy, wife of Dr. Dennis Logue of Clearwater, Fl.; two sons, James T. "Tom" husband of Lyndy McGuffie of Clearwater, Fl. and Robert K. "Bob" McGuffie of Phoenix, Az.; ten grandchildren, Beth Dozier, Linda Hayes, Laura Lara, Courtney Huling, Brianne McGuffie, Ryan Logue, Tina Ferguson, Angel Farrelli, Colleen Young, and Robert McGuffie, Jr. ; fourteen great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to her husband are three sisters, Charlotte Reynolds, Martha Stevenson, Sally Kedwards; three brothers, James, John and Chester Kennedy.She was the last of her immediate family.The family suggestions memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or to the American Cancer Society, 35 W.
