Mary Martin

Mary Jane Martin, 74, of Wind Ridge, Pa., R.D.#1 (Aleppo Township), died at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003 in the home of her daughter, Bonnie Morris after suffering with a cancer related illness since December.She was born October 31, 1928 in Aleppo Township, Greene County, a daughter of Clyde and Myrtle Marie Gorby Tedrow.Mrs. Martin has resided in Aleppo Township all her life and was a member of the Long Run Church of God.She enjoyed sewing, making crafts, shopping and traveling and attended the Waynesburg Elder Care Center as long as her health permitted.Mrs. Martin was employed by the former Buckheimer's Military Supply Company in Cameron for several years and was last employed by the Charles "Bud" Behm family for several years prior to retiring in 1990.On February 18, 1953 she married Charles Floyd Martin who died October 19, 1992.Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie Morris of Holbrook, R.D.#1; one son, Charles F. "Bub" Martin, Jr. of Wind Ridge, R.D.#1; one brother, Nile Tedrow of Wind Ridge, R.D.#1; two sisters, Ruth Varner and Alice Faye Varner both of Wind Ridge, R.D.#1; three grandchildren, Michelle Morris, Jennifer Blanche and Nathan Charles Martin.Deceased are three brothers, Harold, Lloyd "Joe" and John Tedrow.
