Obituary for Martha Horr
Martha J. Horr, 66, of Holbrook, Pa. (Center Twp.) died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008 in the Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa. after a courageous battle with a cancer related illness over the past 18 months. She was born November 9, 1941 in Waynesburg, Pa. a daughter of Della Marie Stahl Inghram of Graysville, Pa. and the late Charles Lester Inghram and has resided in Center Twp. most of her life. Mrs. Horr was a member of the Holbrook Christian Church and was a member of the last graduating class from the former Center Twp. High School in 1959. She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm in Center Twp. for several years and were also co-owners and operators of the former Horr's Feed Service in Waynesburg and was last employed as the co-owner and operator of the former Horr's Tire Shop and Snack Bar in Rogersville from 1984 until retiring in 1996. Mrs. Horr was well known in the area for her pies and desserts and she enjoyed the time spent with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Tri-State Equine Social Club and enjoyed the many trail rides with the club. On October 6, 1962 she married Paul Eugene Horr who survives. Surviving in addition her husband and mother are two sons, Mark A., husband of Nancy Horr and Timothy E, husband of Dawn Horr all of Holbrook; a brother, Charles E., husband of Jo Inghram of Holly Pond, Alabama; one sister, Barbara, wife of Donald Bedilion of Graysville, Pa.; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Taylor, Skyler, Adam and Katie Horr; several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her father is a grandson, Connor Horr who died in infancy. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Center Twp. V.F.D. .
