Margaret J. "Peggy" Crum, 82, of Bridgeville and formerly of Pine Bank, Pa. died at 8:30 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2007 in The Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. after being seriously ill since Christmas.She was born January 25, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pa. a daughter of William and Margaret Smith Miller and was adopted as an infant by Jessi Irwin and Anna J. Munn Faulkner and had lived in the Bridgeville area from 1949 and until moving to Pine Bank in 1973 where she resided until returning to Bridgeville in 1983.Mrs. Crum had attended Gladden Presbyterian Church in Gladden, Pa. and was a 1943 graduate of the former South Hills High School. She was the past president of the former Cook Elementary School PTA and was Past Royal Matron and Patron of the Vesta Chapter #450, O.E.S. She enjoyed meeting with praise and prayer group and the Sunshine Club and enjoyed listening to Big Band music.Mrs. Crum was a former employee of Gulf Oil Corporation and Duquesne Light, both in Pittsburgh.On December 30, 1944, she married Robert Lloyd Crum, Jr. who died October 4, 1980.Surviving are a daughter, Janet, wife of Jerry Hoge of Brave, Pa. and a son, Robert J., husband of Laurel Crum of Altoona, Pa.; three grandchildren, Gretchen Hoge, Emily and Andrew Crum; one great grandson, David Smouse. Deceased in addition to her husband one granddaughter, Jessie Roberta Crum.She was the last of her immediate family.The family suggests memorial contributions to the Bartimaeus Library for the Blind, Inc. 3607 Woodbine Lane, Brooklyn Center, MN. 55429
