Margaret B. Cooper, 105, of Rogersville, Pa. died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, August 17, 2003 in the home of her son, Jack B. Cooper.She was born May 3, 1898 in Springhill Township, Greene County, Pa. a daughter of George Washington and Sarah Elizabeth Griffith Masters.Mrs. Cooper had resided in Springhill Township (New Freeport) area from 1968 until moving to Rogersville in 1988.She was a life member of the Mt. Carmel Church of God where she was a former Sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies Aide Society.Mrs. Cooper enjoyed crocheting, which she was still doing until this past year, and watching religious television programs, and daily reading of her Bible.On September 7, 1920 she married James Ershman Cooper who died October 16, 1968.Surviving in addition to her son Jack B. Cooper of Rogersville with whom she made her home, are sons, George Chester Cooper of Mentor, Ohio, James Forest Cooper of Apollo and Joseph D. Cooper of Naples, Florida; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to her husband are a daughter, Kathleen Baker who died in October, 1999; three sisters, Blanche Masters who died in infancy, Lydia Whipkey and Ocie Isiminger; three brothers, Ogle, Orville and Sam Masters.Mrs. Cooper was the last of her immediate family.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Mt. Carmel Church of God or the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund, c/o Helena Bakey, 191 Mt. Carmel Ridge Rd., Aleppo, Pa. 15310.
