Lois Tarbet

Lois R. Mason Tarbet, 81, of Waynesburg, Pa. died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, September 7, 2009 in her home after a brief illness.She was born August 18, 1928 in Cameron, W.Va. a daughter of Raymond and Hannah Iona Truax Bonar and has been a resident of Waynesburg since 1975.Mrs. Tarbet was a member of the New Freeport Church of Christ.She was an employee of the former Buckheimer's Leather Factory in Cameron, W.Va. and was last employed as a seamstress at the Greenway Shirt Factory in Waynesburg for approximately 20 years.On September 12, 1946 she married Laverne Waters Mason who died January 23, 1979 and on February 14, 1979 she married Robert J. Tarbet who survives.Also surviving are a daughter, Barbara Hull of West Elizabeth, Pa.; a son, Stephen, husband of Gloria Mason of Deep Valley; a brother, Robert (Ike), husband of Patty Bonar of Uniontown; seven grandchildren, Stephanie, wife of David Westwood, Melanie, wife of Gregg Michel, Robin Hull, Heather, wife of Rick Frazer, Holly, wife Mark Keil, Heidi Mason, Hope, wife of Danny Orrahood; 14 great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to her parents and first husband are two grandsons who died at birth; two sisters, Ada Evans and Lee Sewell; four brothers, Donald, Delbert, Larry and Paul Bonar. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to your local American Cancer Society.
