Obituary for Linwood Veach
Linwood E. "Lin" Veach, 77, of Aleppo, Pa. and formerly of Delmont, N. J. died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007 in the Donnell House, Washington, Pa.He was born May 16, 1929 in Heislerville, N. J. a son of Willis Johnson and Ida Mae Chance Veach and had resided in Delmont all his life prior to moving to Aleppo Twp. In 1993.Mr. Veach was a former employee of Wheaton (N. J.) Glass and a sub contractor with the N. J. housing authority and had twice attended the N. J. state police academy.He was a veteran of World War II where he served as an FN with the U. S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post 82, Millville, N.J. and PBA Local #120.Mr. Veach was the owner operator of the former Lin Veach Sons, eel, crab and fish sales for several years and was a member of the N. J. Fish, Game and Shell Fisheries. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, trapping and all outdoor activities as long as his health permitted.He was last employed by the N. J. Division of the Fish, Game Wildlife for 42 years prior to retiring in 1992.Mr. Veach was married to Jacqueline Bozart who died in 1988 and on October 11, 1989 he married Tracey Lynn Locke who survives.Also surviving are two daughters, Stacey Veach at home and Saundra, wife of Gary Cramer of Millville, N. J.; two sons, Linwood R., husband of Janet Veach of Delmont, N. J. and Samuel, husband of Betty Veach of Tuckahoe, N. J.; a sister, Vivian Robison of Millville, N. J.; four grandchildren, Linwood R. Veach, Jr., Jacqueline Platt, Janet Sheldon and Christopher Veach; six great grandchildren.Deceased is addition to his first wife are a grandson, Samuel L. Veach, Jr. and a brother, Smith Veach.
