Lillian Betty Barney

Lillian B. Barney, 90, of West Finley (Richhill Twp.), Greene County, Pa. died at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in her home after being in failing health since April.
She was born February 15, 1925 in Richhill Twp., (in the home where she passed away), a daughter of the late Jesse Edward and Ollie Luellen Cheek Clutter and had resided on her home property all her life.
Mrs. Barney was a member and former member of the church board of directors, of the Crabapple Community Church, where she received a 50 year Sunday school pin. She had served as a Sunday school teacher, Vacation Bible School instructor and was a volunteer with the Bible release program for several years.
She was also the founder and leader of the Wednesday night prayer meeting at the church.
Mrs. Barney was an avid reader, and loved crossword puzzles, an animal lover and enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her German chocolate cake and she never met a stranger, also was a contributor to several Christian organizations, and loved and adored her family.
On September 9, 1945 she married Carl Burdette Barney who died August 7, 2012.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol Ann Andrew and Sharon, wife of Roger Creech, both of Nineveh and Sandy, wife of Ernie Bedillion of East Finley Twp.; three sons, Richard, husband of Linda Barney of West Finley, Roland, husband of Coleen Barney of Waynesburg and C. Bruce, husband of Lisa Barney of Warrenton, Va.; sixteen grandchildren, Tammy, wife of Bryan Yukon, Amy Sue Andrew, Alan, husband of Vincent Andrew, Tiffany, wife of Aaron Yanuzo, Dustin, husband of Summer Barney, Brooke, wife of Jason Mumford, Katrina and Wesley Barney, Nathan, husband of Michelle Simmons, Dr. David Simmons, husband of Megan Simmons, Tommy Simmons, Rachel, wife of Chuck Huggins, Renee, wife of Wesley Cranmer, Lori, wife of Scott Litwinovich, Tracy Lawry, companion of Joe Long, Amber, wife of Scott Finch; twenty great grandchildren, Amber, wife of Norman Felmlee, Matthew Yukon, Sofia, Sasha, Dawson Barney, Wyatt Mumford, Amelia Simmons, Cameron, husband of Larissa Henry, Lilliana and Lucca Huggins, Jonathan and Marshall Cranmer, Haiden Litwinovich, Isabella and Kayla Lawry, Zoe Long, Jett, Jerich, Jayden and Jordan Finch; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are two brothers, Herman and Albert Clutter; two half-sisters, Lenora Miller and Nellie Shurden; two half-brothers, James (Buss) and E. Paul Clutter; a son-in-law, Charles Andrew.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., the time of funeral and committal services in the Ryerson South Wheeling Baptist Church, Wind Ridge, Pa., on Saturday, July 4, 2015, with Pastor David McElroy officiating. Interment will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
