Laverne May Hiles, 83, of Claysville (West Finley Twp.), Pa. died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 in the Breese Rest Home, Claysville, Pa.She was born April 13, 1930 in Rennerdale,(Allegheny County), Pa. a daughter of the late Fred and Julia Stopa Krieger and had resided in the Claysville area since 1968.Mrs. Hiles was a member of the Windy Gap United Presbyterian Church in West Finley and was a graduate of the Scott Twp. High School in Carnegie, Pa.She was also a member of the former Covered Bridge Artisans, and enjoyed reading and wood working.Mrs. Hiles was last employed as a substitute rural mail carrier at the Claysville Post Office.On April 13, 1950 she married Frank William Hiles, Jr. who died June 18, 2003.Surviving are two daughters, Gayle, wife of Kevin McAdoo of Claysville and Aimee, wife of Larry Renner of Washington; a son, Kendall, husband of Susan Hiles of Apex, N. Carolina; seven grandchildren, Drew McAdoo, Neal, husband of Katie McAdoo, Beth, wife of Matthew Chatlak, Jason Renner and Candace Renner Leonard, wife of David Leonard, Spencer and Katie Hiles; five great grandchildren, Sean and Reilly McAdoo, Benjamin Chatlak, Jace McAdoo and Jacob Renner; one brother, Ronald Krieger of New Jersey; two sisters, Regina, wife of Donald Group of Washington and Sharyn McCabe of Coraopolis; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are four sisters, Dolores, Nancy and Carolyn Krieger, and Darlene Windsheimer.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Citizens Library, 55 South College St., Washington, Pa. 15301.
